Last LAST Chemo - Bittersweet

March 16, 2015

"You must be so happy this is your last chemo!" said one of the nurses.

Am I happy? This is a weird feeling. Happy but sad? How can I be sad about not getting more chemo? I'm feeling a little cray cray right now. But I know what it is... These doctors and nurses have made this crazy journey one that I'm actually sad leaving. That's messed up. And pretty effing special.

How can I ever thank you enough for saving my life, Dr. Mary S. Muscato and my favorite male nurse Daniel Yung?
Danny, you were my very first chemo stick (ouch!!) and my very last (OUCH!! Seriously, you haven't figured out in a year how to make that not hurt? But Nurses Erin and Ronda can?? What gives?). Thanks for the ride, you guys

One last stick. Yeeeowwwiiee

Serenade by My Irishman

March 14, 2015

You know what's better than getting one of your favorite songs (Hallelujah) serenaded to you by one of your favorite Irishmen (Liam Aherne) with your favorite Irish band (Napper Tandy) in your favorite pub (Fado Irish Pub) run by two of your other favorite Irishmen (Tom Dowd and Kieran Aherne) in one of your favorite cities (Sweet Home Chicago) on one of your favorite holidays (Paddy's!) with over 30 of your favorite family and friends?

Nothing.

Words can't express how I am so so so thankful and so so so blessed.

Colors, Colors, so many Nipple Colors!

February 19, 2015

"Hey Moya, what's your plan for today?
"Oh, typical day...I think I'll throw in a load of laundry then go choose a nipple color from the nipple color swatch."

No-go on the black and gold or 8-ball, BTW. I'm pretty sure my plastic surgeon didn't want his name tied to that...

Back to the Future

February 6, 2015

Yuck!!! A Timehop that I'm happy to be a year away from.

In the words of the eloquent Ricky Bobby, "Thank you, '... 8 pound, 6 ounce newborn infant Jesus, don’t even know a word yet, just a little infant and so cuddly, but still omnipotent. Thank you for all your power and your grace, dear baby God. Amen.'"
