I'm a Facebooker.... NOT a Blogger!

I don't understand blogs, I can't keep up with them, I feel pressure to have to keep writing on them.... that's why I love Facebook.  I write when I want, what I want, then secure the shit out of it and block people like my parents when I post pictures of my kids eating cheesy poofs for dinner.

Anyway, I've been told I should "write a book" or "start a blog".  I used to want to be a photojournalist so that I could work for Sports Illustrated, take a picture of my two favorite basketball players of all time, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, center court before a game shaking hands in uniform.  Then I took a journalism class in high school and HATED it.  I hated the all the "rules" of writing.  So there you have it.... Facebook it is.  :)

The Reason for the Blog.....  (I put that part in gold for my Mizzou Tigers - LOVE!)

So here we go.... I have (HAD!) cancer.
** Side bar..... I had mentioned that I HATE the color pink and I was diagnosed on February 3rd with breast cancer (you know, the damn PINK ribbon cancer).  So.... my sweet friend, Patti, found a picture of a black and gold ribbon and before I knew it, I was seeing this ribbon on hundreds of my friends' profile pictures on Facebook.  I was in awe.  Then I panicked and had to google "black and gold ribbon" to make sure it didn't represent something like "Polar Bear Testicular Donor Awareness" or something crazy like that.  (in case you're wondering... It's for Platelet Donors)  Whew!

Okay, back to the reason I'm even writing this...  I found a stupid lump in my left breast.  It wasn't hard to find, well... since it was kind of an improvement to my current -A cup situation.  I went to the doctor, they did the mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy and by the next week, I had breast cancer.  Well, crapsticks.

Chemo is crazy.... it'll make you forget things you JUST thought.... wait.... where was I going with this?

Anyway, my whole point is that if I was going to start this blog, I should've done it in February... except I can't remember what the hell I did yesterday.  Someone suggested that I just copy/paste what I've put on Facebook to a blog.  GEEEE-NEEEE-US!

Here we go.......................................
